M&A Focused Duties:
• Self-Managing for M&A: High level of freedom to act regarding leading, structuring, and execution of M&A projects (divestments, acquisitions, and joint ventures), across the Group comprising multiple business units and geographies.
• Lead PMs: to lead functional Project managers and knowledge transfer within the M&A department
• Transaction budget responsibility: Selection & management of investment banks and other M&A consultants including responsibility for engagement letter
• M&A transactions: Supervision and presentation of internal and external approvals of M&A transactions to relevant internal committees
• M&A project communication: Internal & external communication of M&A projects with close collaboration of corporate communications and investor relations

Duties:
• Contract Negotiations: Independently leading legally binding contract negotiations with senior representatives of transaction counter-parties and other sensitive and important stakeholders e.g. government and regulatory authorities
• Reports / KPIs: Deliver important results on earnings and balance sheet KPIs of business units and the Group via personal decision-making responsibility for significant financial and legal commercial transaction terms and commitments to be recommended to and approved by board and/or Supervisory Board
• Project Team Leader: Nomination and leadership of internal and external project teams: Co-ordination of internal set-up of the project team (across units and departments e.g. controlling, legal, tax, accounting, IT, HR, etc) and external advisor support (e.g. financial, technical, legal, etc)
• Management of: Quality of commercial, operational and financial performance assessment based on analysis,
• Primary shareholders interface: Participation companies and departments, decision support for representatives in respective decisions bodies, determination of view on financial and operational performance of Participations and preparation, commissioning, and interpretation of strategic and commercial analysis

Required skills.
• Degree: Economics or Business Administration
• Significant M&A professional
• international experience in with a proven track record of executing a series of large international and cross-border M&A transactions & project experience.
• Handle external stakeholders.
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Strong team player with distinct leadership capabilities
• Ability to work independently and under high result and timing pressure
• Acting in a self-confident manner, with commitment and assertiveness
• High intercultural competence and integration skills
• Excellent communication skills
