Duties – Not full list:
• Creation / development of complex SDN LAN networks based on ACI and Apstra
• Development of new LAN and WAN architectures and consideration of SDN and NFV
• Design of loop-free network platforms using Trill or proprietary manufacturer protocols
• Development of network and migration concepts from traditional standard networks to fabric-based/SDN
• Networks taking into account the various security requirements of the MIS PC
• Continuation and intensification of virtualization techniques in the LAN and WAN area
• Analysis of complex LAN and WAN network environments
• 3rd level support for MIS PC operating units

Skills needed
Experience with
• administration via the AdminLAN, in large network system environments (spine/leaf) and in setting up routers, switches and firewalls in combination with load balancers
• virtualization techniques in the network area
• network architecture and design skills Practical experience in Shell/Phyton programming and automation techniques
• IPv4 and IPv6
• Use of Cisco and Juniper devices
• monitoring systems such as Nagios and NNM
• 3rd level support of networks
• traffic shaping solutions as well as with configuration, maintenance and updates
• Security management of network and server components
• authentication techniques such as Radius, Tacacs or LDAP

Solid Knowledge / Hands on:
• ACI SDN networks and the various security levels
• Cloud / public clouds
• SDN knowledge of manufacturer solutions, VM-Ware, Cisco, Juniper and Open-Dailight
• Open-Flow and Open-Stack and their architectures
• SDN LAN networks from Cisco
• Cisco, Juniper certification (CCIE or comparable certifications)
• Expert Nexus (Cisco), Juniper components
• operating systems UNIX/Linux
